Iranian Music & Arts

Art and Culture Enrichment Classes for All Ages*

Integral to our holistic educational approach are the programs that provide exposure to Iranian art and culture for all members of the community. We offer separate enrichment classes for kids and adults for a variety of Iranian performing, visual, and creative arts. Please explore the in-person and online class options listed here for different age groups (note the minimum age requirements) and contact us if you have any questions.  

  • Group enrichment classes will meet if the minimum number of enrollments is met.

  • The final work of certain kids performing art classes (such as dance, choir, and theater) can be showcased during School's annual events.

*Classes are open to anyone interested, regardless of their enrollment in the Chicago Persian School language classes.

Persian Calligraphy and Modern Art

Learn various Persian calligraphy techniques and apply it to novel artistic creations.

In-Person Group Classes

  • Age Group: Adult (familiar with persian script)

  • Cost: $400 for 10 one-hr Sessions

  • Time: Sundays, 11:00 or 12:30 

  • Format: Group Class

  • Locations: Des Plaines, IL 60016

For Kids: Painting / Drawing 

Learn from the master artist, Mr. Payman Shaykholeslam, offering group in-Person or online lessons for kids age 5 and older, from beginner through advanced. Kids age 5 to 7 require an adult accompaniment in class.

In-Person Group Classes

  • Age Group: Kids Age 5 and Older

  • Pre-paid: $350 for 10 one-hr Sessions

  • Drop-in: $40 Per Session

  • Time (In-Person): Sundays, 1:40 to 2:40 PM

  • Format: Group Class

For Teens & Adults: Painting / Modern Persian Miniature Drawing / Photography

  • Cost: $400 for 10 Sessions

For Kids: Iranian Dance

Learn elements of Iranian traditional and modern dances. Students can perform a choreographed dance with peers.

In-Person Group Classes

  • Age Group: Kids Age 6 and Older

  • Cost: $350 for 10 Sessions

  • Time: Sundays, 1:45 to 2:30 PM

  • Format: Group Class

  • Locations: Des Plaines, IL 60016

For Teens & Adults: Iranian Dance

Learn a variety of Iranian traditional and modern dances.
